The world of Disney knows how to cater to families.
They provide you with a lot of onsite accommodations and most of the Disney World hotels are themed as well.
Both adults and kids can go bananas over there.
The transportation, the pools, those fancy restaurants, and every joyous perks and privilege, there is so much to look forward to.
To help you decide where to take your family, I have created this list of the best Disney resorts for kids.
So, let’s dive right in to find out the best resort for your clan!
1. Boulder Ridge Villas
This Disney resort truly comes out of some fairy tale.
The resort at the Wilderness Lodge has a lot of space and there are a couple of bedroom villas too.
A family of eight can sleep here with no trouble.
The adults and the kids can enjoy in-room meals and can use kitchens as well.
All your family members can have fun gazing at the woodlands, pools, and courtyard.
The kids can spend the entire day in their own activity center.
The activity center has everything for the kids of different ages including the preschoolers as well as toddlers.
This is my favorite Disney World resort for kids.
2. The Campsites
If your kids love camping and you’re looking for camping or should we say Glamping inside Disney World then this is your place.
This budget-friendly accommodation has a lot to offer.
Believe me, all members of your family would love it here.
There are 784 different campsites and some of them also feature cable TV, electrical hookups, BBQ grills, and picnic tables.
As a parent, you have your own moments of privacy because the landscaping is done in such a fashion.
These campsites can sleep up to ten people.
Apart from that, the kids can have fun in the playground while the teens and tweens can go for canoe and bike rentals along with archery, horseback riding and a pool with a fun slide.
In my experience, this is the most fun Disney resort for kids.
3. Bay Lake Tower
You can access the Bay Lake Tower resort from the complimentary monorail service.
You can also get there on foot from the Magic Kingdom.
This is the place where your kids will love to see Cinderella’s Castle as well as Space Mountain.
The resort features 3-bedroom villas with access to kitchenettes.
Each of these rooms can accommodate 9 people.
The adults can enjoy a pool with water slide, accessible for all ages.
You can have a fantasy dinner with your family at the restaurant.
This is the place where none of your family members will get bored after a fun day in the parks.
It is an excellent option if you are thinking about where to stay in Disney World with kids!
4. Port Orleans Resort Disney
The 2 Port Orleans resorts are available at Disney World but you will find it smaller as compared to the previous properties on this list.
This place has a model that is a win for families.
The accommodations here can sleep 4 to 5 people easily.
Although each of the French Quarters accommodates four to five people, overall 1,008 families can stay there.
This place is more for adults, teens, and tweens.
You can enjoy boats, bikes, carriage rides, pool and cane pole fishing.
This is something that will feel totally different from the theme parks.
It is definitely one of the most fun Disney hotels to stay at for families.
5. The Wilderness Lodge
The vacations at Disney World can be very hectic to plan because there is so much on offer.
But once you get there say goodbye to all your anxiety.
It looks like a conventional lodge of a national park but there are a number of features added to it.
There are a beautiful pool and an activity center for young children.
The rooms are rustic but luxurious – four guests can easily sleep in them.
Some of the accommodation even have bunk beds.
You can have the best family dinner ever with its onsite fine dining available at Artist Point.
While you enjoy your family dinner, a superb waterfront view adds joy and amusement to the family episode.
All your family members can have loads of fun at this resort.
This might not be your typical Disney World resort but it does have tons of fun on offer.
6. The BoardWalk Inn
As the name suggests, the best feature of this place is the boardwalk.
It is present right along Crescent Lake.
This boardwalk boasts a number of carnival games for moms, dads, and the kids.
The teens and tweens can enjoy bike rentals too.
Top-quality shops and restaurants are there as well.
Apart from that, there is a pool with waterslide along with guestrooms.
Each of these rooms can sleep up to 6 people and are extremely comfortable.
This is truly a fun place where you can enjoy good food and a fabulous fun environment.
It is another excellent place for people of all ages and all your family members will have a memorable stay over here.
7. The Art of Animations Resort
This resort offers something that is a rare commodity in Disney World Hotels and that is family suites.
It is also the only value resort in Disney World with accommodations for a family of four.
Your kids will love this place because of the themed suites for the family.
The themes include the Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars.
These suites also feature kitchenettes and a couple of bathrooms.
The additional perks include three different swimming pools.
One of them is the largest in the entire Disney World.
There is an arcade for kids a food court for every age and drawing cases for kids and toddlers as well.
This is another place that has so much to offer for every person in your family.
8. Saratoga Springs Spa & Resort
This resort is inspired by the Saratoga Springs, NY but this has an old fashioned style and you won’t find any horses roaming on the grounds either.
The property here is campus styled.
You will find accommodation in three bedrooms villas (tree houses).
Most of these villas have fully furnished interiors with kitchens and can accommodate a family of six.
The parents can enjoy the full-service pool and spa while the kids can enjoy the water slide in that pool.
This is one of the exciting options for your family if you want to spend some memorable nights on a treehouse on your trip.
9. The BoardWalk Villas
Another one of the options to consider if your family love boardwalks!
Here at the Villas, families share the amenities with the guests.
It is also a good option for tweens and teen because you get the facility of bike rentals and a cute swimming pool.
Of course, there is a boardwalk that is fully lined up with shops, restaurants and amusement parks that the kids and toddlers will love.
Your kids will love the interaction with jugglers, mimes, and musicians while the adult family members and parents can enjoy the nightlife option in the dance hall.
These are very close in all the features but the Villas are better than the Inn because they offer more amenities.
Still, both these places are excellent for family members of all ages.
You will enjoy your stay here without a doubt.
10. Beach Club Villas
The guests at the Beach Club Villas get special access to the Yacht Club Resort of Disney.
This is a place full of lagoons, pools, parks, and waterslides.
You’ll get to enjoy the spell of waterfront life.
You can also get access to Sandcastle Club which is a supervised center of activity for the kids.
The villas here are fully equipped with kitchenettes and accommodations for a group of eight people are available too.
Parents can have a romantic time while sitting next to the campfire singing their favorite songs.
The teens and adults can also enjoy volleyball, campfires and nightly clambakes.
It rounds up all the fun for all the members of your family.
11. The Animal Kingdom Lodge
If you are thinking about which Disney hotel is best for toddlers then your search is over.
If your toddler adores wildlife then this lodge is going to be the best option for you to consider for vacations.
This is the only resort from Disney where the kids and their parents are allowed to have an up-close look with some of the featured animals.
If you opt for the Savannah View, you will get a view of different animals from the balcony of your room.
These animals include antelopes, ostriches, and giraffes.
There are some viewing areas from the poolside as well.
The lodge also offers different types of educational activities for toddlers and preschoolers throughout the day.
There is a zero-entry pool with a gentle waterslide.
There is a playground as well as daily crafts along with storytelling, an ideal activity for a 4 year old.
The lodge also has a childcare center for small kids.
12. The All-Star Movies Resort
All of Disney’s All-Star resorts are outstanding for kids but this one is the best for toddlers.
Each of the buildings is embellished with giant statues of Disney movie characters.
There are Mickey, Perdita, and Pongo statues and there are two movie-themed pools as well.
You can opt for an in-room birthday celebration to surprise your little ones after they return to the room.
The resort also has bus transportation and a newly developed Food Court.
Your kids will have epic fun in their kiddie pool.
As soon as they finish their swim you can take them to have their favorite meals in the kiddie food court.
This place has a lot of food options for toddlers as well as for young kids.
This is a kid-friendly place with full family accommodation.
